What makes me passionate about being a provider is making a patient feel better. I know it sounds cliche but I love to make patients smile and take good control of their health. I have been a Nurse Practitioner for five years now and I still have the passion and the drive and that is what makes me the provider I am today. In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? The role of the provider is to be understanding of the patient. Also, to take the patient's thoughts and feelings into consideration when giving optimal care. Engaging the patient in their care will bring more compliance. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I have two boys and I am married so in my spare time I love spending time with my boys. I also like to go out to eat with my friends. My husband and I like to take the boys out on the weekends.
